Dr. Darsey's experience extends to being one of the first air medical groups to put blood on aircraft in 2010. He has a deep understanding of the challenges and nuances of blood product administration, particularly in rural settings. He has also been involved in numerous studies regarding plasma and component therapy. As a board member of Mississippi Blood Services, he has spearheaded innovative programs to provide blood in underserved areas, utilizing a "roving blood bank" model and leveraging fire department resources for transport.
